Since 2008, Perspecta has partnered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to support the agency’s mission for protecting public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics and products that emit radiation.
Perspecta enables FDA’s mission by managing the operations and maintenance of the agency’s data centers and IT infrastructure, which span across the DC metropolitan area, as well as remote field offices throughout the country. Perspecta’s support of the agency’s data centers and infrastructure ensures the FDA is able to improve public health by helping accelerate innovations that make medicines more effective, safer and more affordable. The FDA is also better able to help the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to maintain and improve their health.
The FDA plays a significant role in the nation’s counterterrorism capability by ensuring the security of the food supply and by fostering development of medical products to respond to deliberate and naturally emerging public health threats. Perspecta supports this critical role by providing a secure and reliable IT environment that enables swift and appropriate responses by the agency.
