Managing the largest intranet in the world

Through the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract, Perspecta provides comprehensive IT services to the United States Navy and staffing support to the Marine Corps. Specifically, Perspecta and the Department of the Navy (DoN) have transformed the DoN’s IT infrastructure, combining a myriad of disconnected and dissimilar networks into one of the largest intranets in the world. The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) is the first-of-its-kind enterprise IT platform and has matured into a stable, flexible, cost-effective and secure IT platform for more than 700,000 sailors and civilians in the continental United States, Hawaii and Japan.

The relationship between the DoN and Perspecta goes beyond daily efforts to support those who depend on the NMCI network. NMCI is the foundation that underpins the DoN’s enterprise IT capability, delivering new levels of functionality, mobility, flexibility, adaptability, reliability and security.

NMCI is constantly evolving through projects that enhance security and bring innovation, modernization and cost savings to the DoN.
