Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer for Perspecta, John P. Kavanaugh leads all aspects of financial strategy and implementation and serves as financial counsel to senior leadership and the board of directors.
With extensive professional experience in financial management, operations, business development, program and general management, Kavanaugh has a long, successful track record of driving operational and financial improvements in the public sector and commercial markets.
Kavanaugh was most recently the chief financial officer for DXC Technology’s Americas Region, a $10 billion business and leading provider of IT solutions and services to the commercial marketplace. In this role, he was charged with planning and directing all financial and business operations activities for the region.
Previously, he served as the chief financial officer for Computer Sciences Corporation’s Americas Region and North America Public Sector. Prior to joining Computer Sciences Corporation, he was president of Xerox Federal Solutions Group, a leading provider of business process outsourcing and IT solutions to the federal market. Before that, he served as vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman Corporations’ Public Sector and State and Local Business units, which are major providers of systems integration and information technology solutions in their respective markets.
Kavanaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Weber State University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He is a graduate of the Georgia Technical Institute Executive Management program.
