Senior Vice President and General Manager, Defense Group
As senior vice president and general manager of the Defense Group at Perspecta, Jeffrey Bohling directs the successful operation, execution and management of highly innovative, enterprise-wide solutions for federal defense agencies.
His group supports the mission to keep our country and its citizens safe by delivering solutions to improve software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions to key agencies in national defense.
Prior to his role at Perspecta, Bohling was the senior vice president and general manager of the Civilian and Defense Group at Vencore. Before joining Vencore, he served as vice president and general manager for the civilian solutions sector at General Dynamics Information Technology. Bohling was brought to General Dynamics with the acquisition of Vangent in September 2011. While at Vangent, Bohling successfully led the company’s 2010 U.S. Census program as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin, which included seven call centers and data capture and fulfillment sites staffed with 6,400 employees at peak. In 2008, he successfully led Vangent’s acquisition of Aptiv Technology Partners. When Vangent became a stand-alone company in 2007, Bohling drove the transition of the business from Pearson to Vangent.
In his role as senior manager for McLeodUSA, Bohling transformed the idea of an efficient, easy-to-use sales and delivery platform into reality. Along the way, he campaigned for new technologies, which prepared the company for e-commerce. In 1997, he received the chairman’s Inner Circle Award, which was presented to the top one percent of employees in the company.
Bohling earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science from Iowa State University and received his MBA from Georgetown University.
