Data security and privacy

Perspecta is committed to protecting the security of our network and information systems to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data contained within. Our robust and comprehensive cybersecurity program and architecture is centered on protecting sensitive and privacy information, controlled unclassified information (CUI) and federal contract information (FCI), whether related to our company, a customer or a third-party, from unauthorized access or disclosure while stored, transmitted or processed using Perspecta information systems.

We utilize a strong governance process designed to comply with applicable regulatory, legal and contractual requirements concerning the handling, storage, disclosure and access to corporate, customer and third-party data to include the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7012— Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting. This regulation points to the security requirements in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171, Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Information Systems and Organizations. Perspecta also adheres to standards established by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and is working toward compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which requires a third-party assessment and certification.

We work to identify, address and manage information security threats and risks, and in doing so, emphasize security-related requirements to Perspecta employees, contractors and third-party vendors with access to the Perspecta network via regular security awareness and communication as well as our Acceptable Use Standard. In addition, we manage information security risk and our corporate risk posture in accordance with business requirements, relevant laws and regulations via our Cyber Risk Management Steering Committee.
